Walking a political tightrope, U.S. Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, D-Weston, said Monday the nation's gun laws need to be tightened — but it won't happen in the current political environment.
"We've got to balance what's possible with what's necessary. You don't just rush headlong into pushing for and supporting legislation when it has no chance of passage," she said in an interview with the Sun Sentinel Editorial Board.
