One month they were hot, the next they were cold as Katy Perry's summer romance with John Mayer has reportedly fizzled out.
Katy Perry and John Mayer’s relationship was short-lived after two months of dating; they will go own separate ways, according to Us Weekly.“She’s really upset about it,” a source tells the magazine.
Apparently, the Wide Awake singer wanted her friends to think her relationship to the bad boy Casanova was casual, but her reaction insinuates the opposite.
"She is making it seem like it wasn't serious with John, but she is hurt,” adds another source.
Perry, 27, and Mayer, 34, were first linked after being spotted at Soho House in West Hollywood being “affectionate” and flirting with each other on June 19.
The now former couple were also seen getting touchy-feely at a pool party on Aug. 4, where they were reportedly “all over each other” sharing multiple passionate smooches.
They were last seen together on their last date leaving a house party together in Los Feliz on Aug. 11.
A pal of the Part of Me songbird had intentions to take her relationship with Mayer to a higher level.
"She doesn't want to get her heart broken again, but she feels a real connection and wants to see where things go" with Mayer, whose has also broken the hearts of Jennifer Aniston and Jessica Simpson.
