Milla Jovovich's films
1. Dazed and Confused (1993) 96%
Featuring an excellent ensemble cast that includes a young Jovovich, a precise feel for the 1970s, and a killer soundtrack, this is a funny, affectionate and clear-eyed look at high school life.
2. He Got Game (1998) 80%
Though not without its flaws, this film finds Spike Lee at or near the top of his late-period game, combining trenchant commentary with his signature visuals and strong performances from Denzel Washington and Jovovich as a hooker with a heart of gold.
3. The Fifth Element (1997) 73%
This visually inventive and gleefully over-the-top movie by Luc Besson is a fantastic piece of pop sci-fi that never takes itself too seriously, and Jovovich shines as a fetching humanoid named Leeloo.
4. Dummy (2003) 72%
Just zany enough to be entertaining without succumbing heavily to tired oddball antics, this is a sweet family comedy that succeeds because of charming performances, including Jovovich as an aspiring singer.
5. The Claim (2000) 62%
Though it sometimes feels cold and detached, this is evocative, beautifully shot and full of understated performances, including Jovovich as a brothel operator.
6. A Perfect Getaway (2009) 60%
Although smarter than the average slasher film, this movie eventually devolves into a standard, predictable, excessively violent thriller - though Jovovich is sharp as a woman whose honeymoon grows increasingly tense.
7. Stone (2010) 51%
This film boasts a cast that includes Robert De Niro, Edward Norton and Jovovich (as the wife of a convict). It features strong dialogue, but it's ultimately undone by its heavy-handed symbolism and overabundant plot twists.
8. Resident Evil (2002) 34%
Like other video game adaptations, this version is loud, violent, formulaic and cheesy, though Jovovich's muscular performance was strong enough to pave the way for four sequels.
9. The Messenger: The Story of Joan of Arc (1999) 30%
This visually robust but historically problematic movie is a grand misfire that does little to illuminate St. Joan's life, though Jovovich gives the title role her all.
10. The Three Musketeers (2011) 26%
It plays admirably fast and loose with Alexandre Dumas' classic tale, but in every other respect, this film offers little to recommend - including Jovovich as a female swashbuckler.
