unfathomable power over new media tonight with a live, on-air Emmy’s
“prank”, asking everyone watching to simultaneously tweet that Tracy
Morgan had passed out, then asked Tracy Morgan to lay across the stage.
Within moments, “OMG Tracy Morgan” was
trending worldwide on Twitter as people spread the prank, or tried to
explain the prank, or just generally worried about an unconscious body
on TV getting stepped around by seemingly heartless actors. Savvy
ratings boost, Kimmel! And Tracy, your portrayal of an unconscious body
was award-worthy.
