Bachelor pad elimination shocker

We wonder at the moment if the producers behind “Bachelor Pad” are off somewhere pounding their heads against a wall after Monday night’s new episode. They obviously designed a new twist — having the eliminated female contestant decide who was going to join her out the door — as a way to create drama and stop a power alliance from just coasting to the end. However, who would have thought that this twist would save the token villain Chris Bukowski, and instead send fan favorite Michael Stagliano home at the hands of Erica Rose?
Considering that Michael had the rug pulled out from under him in his attempt to win the show for the second straight season, it would have been understandable if he was blasting Erica to the ends of the earth Tuesday. Instead, though, he is trying to keep it positive — just check out this new post on his Twitter for evidence:

“Trying to keep up. Love you guys back. I mean it. Got my hand caught in the cookie jar, all is well. Wasn’t there to win again anyway : )”

Michael said all season long that he was on the show to try and find love, and he does seem to have found something real with Rachel Truehart from Ben Flajnik’s season. Are they still together? That much is unclear, and the two are definitely doing a better job of keeping things quiet than Lindzi Cox and Kalon McMahon have when it comes to their unexpected relationship.
At the end of the day, we don’t really know where this season is going to go now. Michael was clearly the hero among the male contestants, and now we are more interested in just rooting for Rachel and her new partner Nick simply so that the two can pick up the pieces.
