Notre Dame uniforms

Be prepared for Notre Dame to look very unlike previous Notre Dame teams on Oct. 6.On that date, the Irish will wear special Adidas uniforms for their "Shamrock Series" football game against Miami (Fla.) at Solider Field in Chicago.
The look is quite a change from the traditional blue jerseys and gold helmets and pants normally worn by Irish teams at home.
The helmet is half gold and half blue with a white Fighting Irish mascot on the blue side.
The jerseys are all blue with a large number on the front and back. Numbers are also on the sleeves.
The pants are gold with large blue stripes on the left leg with the white Fighting Irish mascot on the hip.

For good measure, the blue gloves also have the mascot on the palms.
"The players absolutely love the uniforms designed by Adidas for this game and they will help make it a memorable night," Notre Dame coach Brian Kelly said in a statement.
The duds are sure to inspire some strong reaction from college football traditionalists. So it appears Adidas was successful if their goal was to grab attention with something outside the box.
