CBS officially announced the cast of Survivor Micronesia via Entertainment Weekly, and the 10 all-stars are the same people who’ve been rumored to be returning. As previously announced, the people we’ve never heard of are fans of Survivor, and are in their 20s, 30s, and 40s and primarily come from California and Illinois.
While there are no all-stars from either Survivor Guatemala or Survivor Palau, “Palau’s winner, Tom Westman, declined to participate, Entertainment Weekly reports. The magazine also reveals that Exile Island, which was not part of Survivor China, will return.
Why not do a full all-star season? “None of us felt like a full-on All-Stars was the right choice, because we did it once and since then so many other shows have done it. It felt like we needed a twist,” Jeff
Probst said. As to the presence of obnoxious ass Jonny Fairplay, Probst said, “You can’t do the season and not invite your most notorious person. And Fairplay delivered, I will say that.” However, he promises a happy outcome. “This guy is no threat to win this game — zero.”
