Finding time to make an album around her
judging duties on "The Voice," Christina Aguilera has revealed that the new record is coming soon.
Today (September 12), the "Dirty" singer announced on Twitter that her new album "Lotus" will be released this November.
According to the artist, "Album title: Lotus. Representing an unbreakable flower that survives under the hardest conditions and still thrives," she wrote, adding, "There will be a 'Lotus' intro to set the tone for the whole record. Conceptually I didn't target one particular sound/genre. Self expression and freedom [are album themes]. The album represents a rebirth for me."
Along with unveiling the cover art for the record, the first single "Your Body" will be released on Friday. For another surpise, she Tweeted, "And be sure to watch #TheVoice on monday to see a special clip of the music video!"
Though the first release is a club song, she did reveal, "There are some beautiful personal ballads on this album. I wouldn't do a record without them."
