Dancing with the stars elimination

Pamela Anderson’s ‘Dancing with the Stars’ Elimination: Did the Right Couple Go Home?

Let's face it, this season of "Dancing with the Stars" is not your typical season. There are no Kate Gosselins, no Situations, and in fact, most of this the contestants on this All-Stars edition have already won a mirror ball trophy or were a runner up during their first season of the show.

Except: Pamela Anderson. The ex-" "Baywatch" babe was a glaring outcast when the All-Stars cast was announced. Sandwiched amid a pack of mirror ball winners, Anderson was a sixth place finisher on Season 10 of the show.

She milked her underdog status on Monday night's All-Stars premiere, fretting that Bristol Palin has "got the whole Tea Party" on her side, and even pouting after the judges slapped her with a low score and a critique that she didn't work hard enough on her cha cha to earn any praise. Tough talk from the judges on a "DWTS" premiere night. Except, this wasn't a typical premiere.

On Sunday night's Emmy Awards red carpet, judge Carrie Ann Inaba said she expected the stars to "dance like it's week 11" from the get-go. So on Tuesday night's bloated results show, it was no shocker that Anderson and her pro partner Tristan MacManus were sent packing. Their lowly score of 17 was miles below the front runners' scores.

Pamela-who was teary-eyed on Monday night after her lackluster dance-seemed prepared for her demise, but she still delivered one final plea.

On Tuesday night's results show she explained her poor premiere-night performance: "I think emotions sometimes take over and also I've been traveling a lot. I probably should have rehearsed more," she said. "I should have put a lot more effort in, and I'm going to because next week we have such a great dance and I really want to get to it."

When host Tom Bergeron revealed that Pamela and Tristan were in the bottom two, it was no surprise. What was a surprise was the announcement of the other bottom-dwelling couple: Season 2 champ Drew Lachey and his partner, Anna Trebunskaya. Apparently this is All-Stars season and voters mean business.

"I was ready for it, for sure," Anderson said when Bergeron announced that she and MacManus were going home. "We got the lowest score, but we'll keep dancing, we'll dance together again."

And just in case you had any doubts that Pamela Anderson felt that she was wrongly eliminated, her post-show post on Twitter said it all: "Good Luck -everyone at DWS... The fish out of water has left the building. Sad- but deserved it. I didn't come through last night."

The next episode of "Dancing With the Stars" airs on Monday night at 8/7c on ABC.
