He’s officially off the market: Levi Johnston, ex of Bristol Palin and father of her son, wed his girlfriend Sunny Oglesby on Sunday in their home state of Alaska.
Us Weekly broke the news late on Sunday night.
The two have been dating for more than a year – Sunny tweeted this
picture of them in August 2011 – and they’re the parents of a daughter, Breeze Beretta, born just last month.
Levi has had his share of time in the spotlight – and not always in a
positive way. At one time, it was thought that he and Bristol might
have a future together raising their son, Tripp, but he and the Palins have had, shall we say, their share of differences.
The former governor’s daughter went on to appear on several reality shows – including two appearances on Dancing With the Stars – while raising Tripp as a single mom.
Levi, meantime, has tried his hand at modeling and writing (his Deer in the Headlights: My Life in Sarah Palin’s Crosshairs
came out last year), and now is assuming his new role as husband and
dad. He has admitted that Sunny’s pregnancy came about as a result of
her forgetting her birth-control pills during a romantic getaway.
His ex-fiancee was both courteous and supportive when she learned of
little Breeze’s birth. She sent flowers to the new parents, and wrote in
her blog,
“Though I don’t have much interaction with Levi, of course I’m happy
for him. A child is a blessing and I know they are experiencing the joys
(and challenges!) of having a newborn.”
