POCATELLO, Idaho (AP) — Former Montana State and Eastern
Washington football coach Mike Kramer has been named the football
coach at Idaho State.
Kramer takes over for John Zamberlin, who was fired last week
after four seasons.
Idaho State finished its 2010 season with a 1-10 mark. It's only
win was over Montana Western, an NAIA team that also posted a 1-10
record.
Kramer says he wants to bring a fast-paced, spread-type offense
to Holt Arena.
Kramer won one Big Sky championship at Eastern Washington and
three while at Montana State from 2000-2006.
He has been out of coaching for the past four seasons after
being fired by MSU in the spring of 2007. This season, he was a
football operations assistant at Washington State.
