With Scientology being blamed as one of the biggest reasons
behind Tom Cruise's third failed marriage, he has had enough of it and
is trying to completely remove himself from that religion and its
community, reveals recent reports.
Cruise has been one of
the religion's most prolific followers since turning believer decades
ago. His religious beliefs came squarely in the spotlight during the
divorce proceedings with Katie Holmes,
with whom he has his only biological child, six-year-old Suri. An
insider says, "Tom hasn't admitted that he's definitely leaving
Scientology for good, but he's distanced himself from those in the
church and has been hanging out with good friends who aren't part of the
religion." Cruise has also had failed marriages with Mimi Rogers and Nicole Kidman
and had a high-profile break-up with ex-girlfriend Penelope Cruz. And
now, it appears that the actor is attributing his failed relationships
to Scientology. "He's finally seeing that being such an advocate for
Scientology hasn't served him as well as he'd hoped it would," said the
source.
