However, she did not get a kiss from Biden but Letterman fulfilled that wish of hers. While talking about her show, Letterman leaned closer to Amy to introduce a clip from her show which Amy mistook as an approach to kiss her.
The 41-year-old actress joked, "Oh, I thought you were going to go in for a kiss," reported Christian Post. Letterman took this as an invitation and surprised Amy and the audience alike by grabbing her bare hand and planting one on her lips.
Newly-single Amy was completely taken aback by his actions and after an awkward round of pleasantries, Letterman lightened the situation by saying, "Tell that to your little buddies back there at NBC."

Letterman's next guest was "Hunger Games" actor Josh Hutcherson, who puckered up while walking out to shake his hand. Letterman looked a bit disturbed at Josh's actions and just waved it off asking, "Did somebody tell you to do that or you just thought you'd kiss my on your own?" reported
According to the Daily Mail, some viewers were unhappy with Letterman's actions and one tweeted saying that he was old enough to be Amy's father.
Amy Poehler recently announced her separation from her husband of nine years, Will Arnett. The couple who had met in 2000 and married three years later will share custody of their two sons - Archie and Abel.
