Judy Garland dress

If you're planning to dress up as Dorothy for Halloween, here's the ultimate costume for you—Judy Garland's original gingham dress is up for auction! (Sorry, no Toto included.)

The blue-and-white pinafore and pleated blouse
goes up for grabs online in 31 days, and is apparently one of the only complete Wizard of Oz costumes still in existence.

Dressing up as the real deal costs just a tad more than the mass-manufactured Dorothy-dress impostors, though. Bidding starts at $200,000—with the estimated final price clocking in around $400,000 to $600,000.

For that price, Dorothy probably could have paid off the wicked witch to just catch a flight home, right?

The frock also includes a handwritten inscription on the garment tag with Garland's name on it:

The Wizard of Oz is one of our favorite, favorite, favorite movies of all times—even if Oz scared the living heck out of us and haunted our dreams as kids. (Seriously.) Were/Are you a fan of the film? And would you ever bid on Dorothy's dress? Do share in the comments!
