Monique weight loss, October is Breast Cancer Awareness month and it opens on a lighthearted note as three veteran comediennes – Mo’Nique, Sherri Shepherd and Wanda Sykes – debut new comedy projects this week.

Mo’Nique Headlines New Talk Show on BET

Presumably filling a talk show void famously vacated by Arsenio Hall in the early 90s, brash comedienne Mo’Nique of “Queens of Comedy” fame has been given the nod by Black Entertainment
Television (BET) to try her hand in the genre.

“The Mo'Nique Show” premieres Monday, October 5th (tonight) at 11pm/10c and runs every weeknight, featuring a mashup of A-list celebrities and hot musical guests. BET calls the show the “hottest party on television.” Rounding out the late night show are the standard resident deejay, and Mo’Nique’s comic foil, sidekick Rodney Perry.

The reason to watch, of course, is Mo’Nique. Hilarious and shocking in any number of ways, Mo’Nique is sure to deliver laughs. (Remember her still-classic big girls’ interpretation of Beyonce’s “Crazy in Love” at the BET Awards years back? No? Watch it here.)

Her guests this week include comedians Chris Rock and Steve Harvey, and actors Hill Harper and Boris Kodjoe, plus many more. To quote the show’s website, “It's a late-night party that only the biggest queen in the comedy game can deliver.”

Watch for more of Mo’Nique in her powerful first dramatic role – one that’s generating Oscar buzz – in director Lee Daniels’ (Monster’s Ball) film “Precious,” in theaters this fall.
