The 82-year old wife of former U.S. Rep. Lee Hamilton, Nancy Hamilton, died after she was run over by her own car after she pulled into a veterinarian clinic in Bloomington yesterday and attempted to get her pet out of the car. Police believe the car was not in the parking gear when she walked behind the vehicle, and it rolled over her. The Star reports that Hamilton died a few hours later after being transported to IU
Health Hospital in Bloomington. Former Rep. Hamilton serves as director of IU's Center on Congress, which he helped create in 1999 after retiring from Congress.
