Roommate killed over pork chop

Thomas Mathew Hahn was cooking up some pork chops Tuesday night. His inebriated roommate then got home and told Hahn he didn't like they way they were being cooked. The two got into a heated argument over it.
Hahn then responded as any rational person would when their drunk roommate criticizes the way they cooks pork chops. He shot his roommate dead.
According to Holly Hill Police Chief, Mark Barker, the 55-year-old Hahn confessed to shooting his roommate, Robert Eugene Gray, 35, when Gray got home and began bickering with Hahn over dinner.

Gray was drunk, according to Hahn.

After the two exchanged some heated words about the pork chops, Hahn pulled out his .22 caliber Ruger rifle and shot Gray three times, twice in the head.
The two other roommates in the house -- April Blank and Tim Santimyer -- where in a seperate room at the time and heard the gunshots. They immediately called 9-1-1.
When police arrived at the scene, they found Gray on the floor covered in blood and Hahn sitting in a chair nearby.
Hahn confessed to investigators that he was the shooter, and that he and Gray had gotten into many arguments before, with most of them turning physical.
"I believe the argument was about how to prepare pork chops," Barker said. "Hahn said they argued and he shot him."
Hahn shot first.
According to Barker, the shooting occurred just before 10:30 p.m. Tuesday at Hahn's house at 841 May Ave in Holly Hills, Florida.
Hahn has been charged with second-degree murder and is being held at the Volusia County Branch Jail with no bail.
