Kelly Rowland in Destiny's Child, If Destiny’s Child’s Super
Bowl Half Time Show in February gave you
hopes of a reunion, then I have some good news for you. In a new
interview with Billboard magazine, Kelly Rowland revealed that Beyoncé
and Michelle Williams will be featured in a song from her upcoming
album, Talk A Good Game. Although she shares vocal duties with her former group members, she
refused to call it a Destiny’s Child song. “It’s not a Destiny’s Child
track, it’s me featuring Beyoncé and Michelle,” said the 32-year-old
singer. With a one word emphasis, Rowland described the song as
“Soulllllll.”
The forthcoming song will mark the third time that the trio have
reunited this year. Prior to the Super Bowl, they released a compilation
album in January titled, Love Songs.
Rowland recorded over seventy songs for the album, but had to narrow
it down to twelve. “I kept going back and forth with my A&R and my
manager, we’ve all been on this incredible journey together, and they’re
just like ‘Save it for the next album!’” explained Rowland.
“You just get so passionate and excited about these songs,” she said.
“You lived with them, you birthed them along with the producers. You
become so attached.”
