Vikings move QB

Vikings move QB, The Minnesota Vikings might have made a decision on the future of QB Joe Webb. After a disappointing start in the playoffs in 2012, the team might be moving the athletic Webb to a wide receiver position, and this is not a bad move at all. The Vikings acquired free agent quarterback Matt Cassel in free agency this season to back up Christian Ponder for 2013, obviously signaling the end of the Webb experiment. When asked by reporters if Webb could see an expanded role at the receiver position this season, head coach Leslie Frazier said, “[Webb] is such a talented athlete that we want to make sure that we’re doing the right thing by him and our team, as well,” Frazier said. “That’s something we’ll continue to discuss as we go forward.”
This should be a solid move for the Vikings. Webb is an explosive runner in space and he could become a welcome addition to the Vikings offense next season. Webb was originally drafted to become a wide receiver with Minnesota but has assumed the role of backup quarterback for the past two seasons.
