Coach suffers seizure

Minnesota coach Jerry Kill suffered a seizure following the Gophers’ 21-13 loss to Northwestern on Saturday afternoon, the school announced.
Kill finished his postgame media session and suffered the seizure in the locker room of TCF Bank Stadium.Kill was taken to a hospital and was resting comfortably. He’ll be kept there overnight for observation and the university said it would update his condition Sunday.
Kill has had a history of seizures. He suffered one on the field against New Mexico State and then several more throughout his first season with the Gophers. He said in an interview that he had to bring his wife, Rebecca, along with him on recruiting trips for fear of suffering another seizure on the road or while visiting with a recruit.
Kill has been undergoing treatment to control the seizures, but it’s ongoing. He’s been reluctant to talk about the seizures that have plagued him his entire coaching career.
Kill has often said he would not stop coaching unless he was told that his medical condition would result in dire consequences. So far, no one has given that news.
Our thoughts go out to Kill and his family while they continue to battle this ailment.
